Get in touch
Call 614-459-8285 or email test@oclqs.org. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. Then submit a completed online Registration and Application. You can also email admin@olbschool. com to ask questions or arrange a tour, and we will get back with you quickly. Enrollment information covers the 2026-2027 school year and childcare.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch the day in motion. Ask what you like while you are there. Then we will talk through the next step together.

Enroll and settle in
Complete the online registration and application, then plan a first week that suits your child's routine. Shorter days at the start often help. You can ask us how the first weeks usually go for your child's age.
What to have ready
Most families gather a few standard items before the first day: enrollment forms, a health form and immunization record, emergency contacts, and the names of adults allowed to pick up your child. If you are not sure what a form needs, call or email and we will walk you through it.
Pack a full change of clothes that can stay at school, outdoor gear for the season, and nap items if your child rests here. A small comfort object from home helps. Label everything with your child's name so it finds its way back.
Before the first day, decide who drops off and who picks up, and make sure those names are on your authorized list. Think about how you want to hear about the day — at the door, by note, or by phone. Tell the teacher what works for your family.
The first weeks
The first days often go better with a short visit rather than a full one. Send a familiar object from home — a small toy or blanket — so your child has something known nearby. A teacher greets your child by name at the door, and you can ask for a call if you want one.
At pickup, teachers usually tell you how your child ate, rested, played, and got along with others. Ask questions if you want more detail; teachers expect them. Most children settle into the routine within a few weeks, though every child has their own pace.

What does a typical day include?
A day here usually starts with arrival and a soft landing, then moves into play and learning in small groups. Children eat and rest; Totally Terrific Twos, Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students in childcare after lunch rest from 12:45 to 2:15 pm. Outdoor time and pickup round out the afternoon. Ask us how the day looks for your child's age.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Teachers usually talk with you at pickup about how the day went — eating, resting, playing, and mood. If you want more detail, ask; teachers expect questions. If something comes up during the day, we will reach out to you.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have, so the office can tell you which days are possible. Call 614-459-8285 and tell us the days you need, and we will walk you through what is available.
What if there is no place right now?
If a place is not open for your child's age right now, ask us to let you know when one comes up. We will keep your details on file.
What should I ask on the tour?
Ask about hours, meals, and how pickups work, so you know what the day looks like from start to finish. Ask how the first weeks are handled and what teachers tell you at the end of the day. And ask anything else that matters to your family — we would rather answer now than have you wonder later.
